Snow, snow, quick quick, snow

Well, I'm off to Trago Mills in Newton Abbot (I hope) tomorrow for a Jewellery and Card Making Demo and then Trago Mills in Liskeard on Sunday (weather permitting).

It's snowing again here now and black ice on all the roads so it's touch and go whether I make it to the demo's or not.

I am awaiting all my new Craft Stamps to be produced so that I can get them on the website for sale asap. Iv'e had loads of interest already so hopefully the stamps will sell like hot cakes.

Go to http://www.christinescraftyart.com/ to see the stamps in the New Year. Lots of different designs and lots of ideas on how to use them to come both on here and on the website so watch this space for further details.

The Oriental Card is from the DoCrafts range of products that I'll be demonstrating on 18th and 19th December at Trago stores. Hope to see you there.

Trago Mills Demonstrations August 28th and 29th

Iv'e two demo's coming up one in Trago Newton Abbott on Saturday 28th and one in Liskeard on Sunday 29th August.

I will be covering lots of new techniques including how to use the new foils - especially good for "tarting up" all your older papers that you don't know what to do with. I will also be covering some glass painting and using the glass outliner to make a snow effect on cards.

Hope to see you there..

Talk to Honiton Craft Club

My Talk and Demonstration to Honiton Craft Club on Wednesday went very well. I convered the "F" word - no not that one but all different Crafts beginging with the letter "F"

I demonstrated Felting, Fusing Fibres, Funky Foam, Friendly Plastic, Foiling and more.

The audience seemed to like what I was demonstrating and many took notes on where to go and buy the products and how to use them. Iv'e demonstrated and held Workshops for this lively group of ladies before and many thanks to Anne and David for supplying me with the drinks and very well organised morning.

I will be attending their next meeting where they are covering Sugar Painting. This is something Iv'e not heard of before so it should be interesting.

Don't play football with sandals on

I think Iv'e broken my big toe playing football with my grandchildren yesterday. It's gone all purple and blue and it's the size of a large carrott (looks a bit like one too).
The moral of this story is, don't play football with sandals on.....

It's a good excuse to just craft all day, because I can't possibly do the hoovering, or stand at the sink to wash up, or polish the furniture etc. etc I'll just have to make cards instead. What a shame.

Demo at The Range Exeter

What a hot, hot day. A bit of an exciting day too - two shoplifters, lots of hunky policemen running around the shop and things getting knocked over from the shelves. A bit like a Carry-on film. Still the demo went well.

Thanks to all the ladies who attended the Demo. The foils sold like hot cakes. You can do so much with them and they look absolutely lovely on papers, acetate, cardstock etc.,

My next demo will be at The Community Resource Centre in Yeovil on August 21st.

I will be covering lots of different techniques once again and using all DoCrafts products both past and present. l'll bring along lots of samples for you all to see.
I look forward to seeing you there.

Lots to do, so little time yet again

Hi all,

Iv'e been busy demonstrating for DoCrafts each weekend and have been busy making lots of samples to take to the stores for the customers to see.

One technique Iv'e come up with is to colour your embossed images with permanent markers.

The effect is quite good and it doesn't ruin your pens either even if blend colours over one another. Just rub your pen over some cardstock and the colour of the pen returns to the original colour.

Talking of Demonstrations, my next demo is at Artist's Corner in Chepstow on 26th June where I'll be demoing jewellery.

Better get on and start making my samples as jewellery takes up much more time than just making cards etc. I'll post some samples on here once Iv'e had a chance to make them that is.

Watch this space.......

It's been a long time

Hi all,

It's been quite a while since Iv'e been on here. Iv'e been so busy and haven't had time to update or redesign any blogs that I have.

I need to get my act together and start crafting more and also tart up my blogs. I also need to play with the settings to get the look that I want. I'm not too good with computers so need time to sit and play with the backgrounds etc (hence there not being any fancy stuff on here yet).

Anyway, I thought I would just keep you informed that I am still here and still crafting away. Update you all very soon.

New Demonstrations

Hi all,

Unfortunately, like lots of other DoCrafts Designers, my demo at the Range in Exeter was cancelled on Saturday 9th Jan due to bad weather etc., but the good news is that it is re-arranged for 23rd January. The new products for the Jan/Feb loop are amazing and I can't wait to get my sample cards etc photographed and put onto the Designer Gallery section of the DoCrafts website.

I am also holding a Workshop in Jewellery making at Crafty Devils in Barnstaple on 16th January so if you fancy a new hobby or want to start learning about how to make you own jewellery then come come along and have a go. I look forward to seeing you at either the Creativity Demo at The Range on Saturday 23rd or at the Jewellery Workshop in Barnstaple on 16th.
Happy Crafting.
